What's really going on?

I recently read a blog of someone who knew someone that committed suicide. I know a morbid topic-something that people really don't want to discuss. This person didn't know this person closely and yet mentioned how he always had a smile on his face or always tried to make someone laugh.

And recently when I heard of Owen Wilson's suicide attempt-someone that makes millions of dollars making movies and probably appears to have it all, some would wonder why in the world would he try to commit suicide? Was it the drugs?

I have to wonder as I look around and observe others, what is really going on in their heads?

Life has a way of pitching curve balls at you faster than you can swing at them and looking back at my own times of despair and looking at my life today-I am so glad that I made it through my dark times. It took my family, friends, and faith to help me get through to another day-as tough as it seemed at the time, I did survive. I hope for anyone that comes across this blog and has had any suicidal thoughts, know that things can and will get better.

It's difficult to feature you in a "dark place." I don't know many people who are more life-affirming than you are.

This takes me back to our psychology class with McIntyre.
