New Years Eve and Resolutions

Here it is again...another year has gone by and another year of unresolved resolutions. I make them every year and it seems I break them most every year.

I always feel somewhat nostalgic at the end of the year and think about the year in passing, and I know for many it has not been a very good year. I know many people who have had a difficult year and many who have lost loved ones or have had loved ones get sick. I hope the next year for many will be a year of healing.

I feel optimistic about the future and about the upcoming year. I resolve to:

1) Sleep more! (How this is possible with a young child, I'm not sure yet).
2) Exercise more. (This should not be diffcult to accomplish given the fact that I am getting practically no exercise).
3) Eat better. (This should not be difficult since mostly what I eat is junk).
4) Live life more. I hope to continue to develop my relationships with family and friends and truly embrace and enjoy each moment.
5) Have more patience, especially when it comes to my son. This one will be more difficult as he enters Terrible 2's, depending on how Resolution #1 is going.
6) Be less critical. (I think I realized this week what a critical person I can sometimes be, especially to my poor husband).
7) Blog more. (I know that journaling is good for the soul, and on-line blogging is a journaling of sorts).
8) Save more money. (Being a thrifty momma, I sometimes buy stuff I don't need just because it's on sale, which isn't always saving).
9) Spend more quality time with my husband (this will be possible as grandparents will be here in just a few weeks).
10) Be the best mother, wife, friend, daughter that I can be.

Goodbye 2008, Hello 2009! Happy New Year!
