Simple Acts of Kindness

We are here! It's been a little over a week now. I have to share a story from last Wednesday. Carl was unloading the second Uhaul and he said, "I think we have some visitors." A man, and his two daughters and a son (only 10 months) came up to us with a plate of chocolate chip cookies and a note welcoming us into the neighborhood. I was trying to remember all of their names when Chris said (the new neighbor) that the names were on the sticky note. They had sticky notes with cartoon faces that actually looked like the neighbors! I was truly touched by this simple small act of kindness. We later met the wife that made the cookies with their girls and she was equally as sweet. They apparently moved into the neighborhood in July to be closer to their church.
